Gallery: Signing of agreement for the implementation of ProFuturo in Bahamas

December 10, in Washington D.C.was signed the the cooperation agreement between the Government of The Bahamas, ProFuturo, the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL) and the Organization of American States (OAS), for the implementation of the ProFuturo program.
The signing act was attended by the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Bahamas before the OAS, S.E. Sidnet S. Collie; the OAS Executive Secretary for Intergral Development, Kim Osborne and the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Telecommunications Commission (CITEL), Óscar León.
The ProFuturo digital education programme promotes access to quality education through teacher training, as well as the use and appropriation of technologies in the classroom. 210 teachers from 24 Bahamas schools will receive training in educational technologies and innovation. This program also contemplates the arrival of technological equipment and digital educational content that more than 7 thousand children in the country can access.
