Terms and Conditions – Nominations

The Week of Educational Influencers in the Americas (the Week) is a hemispheric activity organized by the Educational Portal of the Americas (PEA), an initiative of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (GS/OAS), within the framework of the celebrations for its 25th Anniversary. The Week is created to recognize, make visible and mobilize creators of educational content who are positively impacting children and youth in the region. 

This section regulates the participation of the public in the nomination process of educational influencers through recommendations and tagging on social networks.

Anyone may participate by recommending educational influencers through the mechanisms established by the PEA.

Nominations may be made by tagging the Facebook account and/or X of the influencer to be nominated in the comments of the publications related to the Week that the PEA and/or the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI) disseminate through their official profiles on said social networks.

The participation period for the tagging of influencers will be from July 13 to 31, 2026.

The recommended Facebook and/or X profiles must correspond to people who: 

• Have the citizenship of any of the Member States of the Organization of American States.
• Generate educational content.
• Maintain a respectful and inclusive approach.
• Have a positive impact on children and/or youth. 
• Are active on such social networks.

Nominations do not guarantee the participation of the proposed profiles. The Educational Portal of the Americas will conduct an internal evaluation for all nominations received.

The recommendations may be used for the purposes of evaluation, contact, and internal analysis of the Educational Portal of the Americas.

• Participation does not create any right or expectation of an agreement or contract with the PEA or with the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS).
• Situations not provided for in these Terms and Conditions will be resolved by the PEA, at its sole discretion, and its decision will be final and final.
• The PEA reserves the right to modify the schedule and/or these Terms and Conditions at any time, as well as the right to cancel or suspend the Week. In no case shall the exercise of such rights by the PEA entitle the participant to make any claim.
• Nothing in these Terms and Conditions constitutes an express or implied waiver of the privileges and immunities enjoyed by the OAS, its organs, its personnel, and its property and assets, in accordance with the OAS Charter, the relevant agreements and laws, and the principles and practices that inspire international law.

Participation implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
