Digital Education
The Inter-American Education Agenda (IEA) promotes the effective use of new technologies in education. It focuses on integrating digital tools into learning processes, ensuring that educational communities acquire the digital skills needed to connect with an increasingly technological world.
The IEA seeks to close the digital divide and promote equity in access to technological resources, ensuring that all students, regardless of their location or context, can benefit from the opportunities offered by digital education.
Teacher training
In the field of teacher training, the IEA is dedicated to improving the quality and relevance of education through professional development and continuous training for educators. Its mission is to strengthen pedagogical and didactic competencies, as well as to update teachers’ knowledge in innovative methodologies and inclusive approaches.
The agenda promotes collaboration and the exchange of experiences and best practices among Member States, with the aim of raising the level of teaching throughout the region.
Inclusive Education
The IEA underscores its steadfast commitment to promoting and ensuring inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education for persons with diversability.
Employability
The mission of the IEA in terms of employability is to strengthen the link between education and employment in order to foster the socioeconomic development of the Member States. The agenda focuses on aligning educational curricula with labor market demands, promoting technical and socio-emotional skills relevant to the future of work.
In addition, it seeks to strengthen skills certification mechanisms and improve career guidance and employment services. The goal is to prepare individuals for a successful transition from education to the labor market and to foster mobility and lifelong career retraining.
