Albert R. Ramdin, OAS Secretary General
"Many of the educational challenges facing our countries are shared. It only makes sense that we work together with all stakeholders in our societies to find innovative and practical solutions.
At the opening of the OAS Ministerial Meeting on Education in Quito, I called for stronger hemispheric cooperation to tackle common challenges, share knowledge and best practices, and help our education systems adapt to a rapidly changing world. No country needs to face these challenges alone.
This is the added value of the OAS: bringing our countries together to turn shared priorities into collective action toward greater peace and prosperity for the people of the Americas, especially our youth.
Let us continue building a collaborative Inter-American education system where institutions and students learn from one another, benefit from our collective experience, and work together to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive and become a responsible and productive member of society.
I also expressed my deep appreciation to all educators for their commitment, dedication, and invaluable work, often carried out under challenging circumstances." (Post X)
Isabelle Valois, OAS Executive Secretary for Integral Development
"The success of this ministerial cycle will be measured by the initiatives, partnerships, and results that emerge from its implementation." (Post X). Closed the XII Education Ministerial in Quito, 2026.
