Hackaton AI in education

Phase 1: Registration

Phase 2: Hackathon Community

🤖 Community activities will take place from September 29 through October 23.

🤖 Participants will also have access to learning opportunities, including informational webinars on AI, discussion forums, and Zoom-based experience-sharing sessions with participants from across the region. Participation is voluntary.

Do you believe AI has the potential to solve challenges in educational environments? Then this is the ideal opportunity for you.

By participating in the Hackathon, you will:

• 👾 Share experiences and best practices with educators, educational institutions, and civil society organizations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
• 👾 Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for real educational challenges through the use of artificial intelligence.
• 👾 Promote the pedagogical, ethical, and inclusive use of AI in education.
• 👾 Become part of a regional initiative that advances innovation, collaborative learning, and future-ready skills development.

We seek to create a collaborative space with representation from the entire educational community:

• 👾 School leaders and individual educators.
• 👾 Teaching teams or educational institutions as a whole, across all educational levels and modalities from primary education onward, with particular emphasis on those engaged in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
• 👾 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

El Hackaton tiene tres pilares:

1. Los Retos podrán estar orientados al diseño, la implementación o el análisis basado en evidencias de la práctica, de estrategias, procesos o herramientas en instituciones y programas educativos en torno a las siguientes categorías:

• Enseñanza de contenidos disciplinares  
• Educación Técnico Profesional y desarrollo de habilidades para el mundo del trabajo (no vinculadas con la educación digital)
• Promoción de la educación digital y del uso crítico y ético de la IA
• Evaluaciones de aprendizaje asistidas por IA 
• Diversificación y personalización de la formación o atención a brechas y necesidades educativas especiales  
• Bienestar, clima escolar o desarrollo socioemocional 
• Diagnóstico, administración, organización y/o proyección de servicios educativos

2. Los Destinatarios son las instancias o personas de la comunidad educativa a quienes están dirigidas las soluciones que se construyan en el Hackaton, pueden ser: 

• Gobierno
• Supervisión o inspección de escuelas
• Dirección escolar
• Profesionales docentes
• Alumnado
• Familias o responsables a cargo del alumnado

3. Las Áreas son los niveles y modalidades donde se ejecutarán las soluciones que se construyan en el Hackaton: 

   

• 👾 You will create solutions involving the use of AI to address common challenges in educational environments throughout the Americas.
• 👾 You will exchange ideas with colleagues from across the region to learn about their solutions and approaches to advancing digital education.
• 👾 You will learn in a dynamic and open environment, exploring new ideas to transform education.
