Get to know the Hackaton AI in Education

The Inter-American Hackathon is a collaborative space where educators, schools, and organizations will design, implement, or analyze AI-based solutions to address real-world challenges in education.

Each participant will join a community where they will share their proposal with peers from different countries, exchange knowledge and experiences, and access AI-related resources.

Completing the Hackathon requires communicating the experience concisely and completing a self-assessment form.

The solutions developed will become part of the repository of the Educational Portal of the Americas, and participants will also have the opportunity to access AI software licenses that will be raffled at the conclusion of the Hackathon.

👥 Target Participants

• School leaders and educators from public or private educational institutions officially recognized at the primary, secondary, and tertiary/higher education levels, in all modalities.
• Civil society organizations from Latin America and the Caribbean.

📅 Key Dates

• Call for participation and submission of solutions: September 16 to October 23, 2026
• Experience-sharing session (Zoom): Between October 1 and October 11, 2026
• Learning exchange forum: Between October 19 and October 23, 2026
• Results dissemination seminar and software license raffle (virtual, optional): November 11, 2026

• Certificate of participation awarded by the Educational Portal of the Americas
