Mexican lawyer. Specialist in public policy, regulation and antitrust in the areas of ICT and more broadly, the digital ecosystem, with a focus on meaningful inclusion, justice and sustainability for women, indigenous peoples and vulnerable groups.
She is currently Policy and Regulation Coordinator in Latin America and the Caribbean for Rhizomatica in the Local Networks Initiative, Director at the International Institute of Communications, and Co-founder and Chair of CONECTADAS, a network of women leaders in ICT working on gender equality in the digital ecosystem.
Former Commissioner of the Federal Institute of Telecommunications from September 10, 2013 to February 28, 2018.
She is a lawyer from the Escuela Libre de Derecho, with a master’s degree from Columbia University, in New York. Fulbright Scholar, Humphrey Fellow and Ashoka Social Entrepreneur. She has lectured extensively in Mexican universities and fora and abroad.
